How we help a communication team manage a complex editorial project
Twice a year, our client – a company in the construction sector – takes on a major challenge: producing a staff magazine of around 80 pages. It’s a substantial publication, filled with interviews, field reports, and technical articles. A real snapshot of life on the construction site, highlighting achievements and showcasing the people behind them.
Challenge
- Limited internal resources to produce an 80-page magazine twice a year
Solution
- DTS assembled a full editorial team
- The entire project is tracked through our DTS Drag & Drop platform
Result
- The client can focus on their daily responsibilities while still delivering a high-quality magazine

The challenge
A project too large for the available internal resources
Organising interviews, writing articles, coordinating numerous contributors, managing translations, proofreading, and ensuring overall editorial consistency… The workload involved in producing the magazine is considerable and far exceeds the team’s internal capacity. This project requires specialised skills, continuous coordination, and tasks that the communications manager simply cannot absorb without neglecting her other daily responsibilities.
Without external support, the magazine – strategic and highly valued though it is – risked becoming an operational burden for the communication department. It was in this context that DTS was brought on board.

Our solution
An external, dedicated, and agile editorial team
DTS implemented a turnkey solution to manage the entire editorial process, while ensuring the client retained full control over the final content.
To deliver this, we assembled a complete team of French- and Dutch-speaking writers and translators, supported by a project coordinator overseeing day-to-day management. This structure allows us to cover every stage of the process:
- Project coordination and oversight
- Conducting interviews (on-site or remotely)
- Writing articles
- Translating content
- Final proofreading and editorial harmonisation
All workflows and communications are centralised on DTS Drag & Drop, our Trello-based platform, accessible to all contributors – including the photographer and graphic designer working on the staff magazine.
This setup enables the communications manager to maintain full visibility of the project through the platform and regular check-ins, without having to shoulder the daily operational workload.
